BagCheck :: Denmark

Posted on 08 January 2009 by thelandrum

bagchecklogo1Goddag it’s Danish Thursday here at the Indie-Verse!  After a relaxing holiday, we’re back out and this week we brought a whole mess of Danish goodness for your ears.  I know that the great land of Vikings is set to make plenty of noise in 2009, so keep listening and we may be back soon.  As always, if you feel that I did the country a great disservice and missed a truly monumental act, please feel free to leave me a comment (and don’t go easy on me, I can take it).
Hope you enjoyed this week’s show, next week we’ll make a quick hop to Belgium and see what they’ve got!  Farvel for now…

BagCheck :: England 4 and New Year’s Eve

Posted on 06 January 2009 by thelandrum

Welcome to 2009 Indie-Verse, let’s hope that my slacking of nearly a full week isn’t a sign of the year to come! I’ve been neglectful of the posts I know, we’ll blame it on the egg nog and champagne. For anyone who missed the shows, our 4th installment on England on Christmas Day said farewell to the UK, and our guest Eric, I think we’ll all miss his antics so I may drag him back in for special occasions, and the 2009 kickoff show took New Year’s songs from all over the world and ran us from Australia to Europe to the US and many stops in between. But now that I’m shaking off all the holiday cookies and just general laziness of the holidays, it’s time to pack back up and head back out. In the meantime, we’ve got the last 2 playlists below, and I promise I’ll be more punctual this year!

BagCheck :: England Week 3

Posted on 18 December 2008 by thelandrum

Welcome to our 3rd week in England, today’s show put the spotlight once again on some great up and coming acts as well as some English staples that you may or may not have heard before.  We’ve had Eric in the studio all month to help pick out tracks and as usual his rants were only outdone by his ability to hunt down some great tunes.  With the double set from the Guillemots, I had to include a link to their video for Falling Out of Reach, in case you’re interested in watching a bunch of random British blokes carry none other than Sir Ian McKellan down the street.  Click Below!  See you next week for our last week in England then it’s back on the road with BagCheck 2009!
