Yes kids, the Belgians can do Rock Festivals…and beer…and chocolate. And if you’re enough of a glutton to want all three at once, then you’re probably in Werchter right now, so suck it up and enjoy.
The Wercther Festival started today, and is rolling right on through the weekend, it’s got the standard fare Euro variety of shows with some pretty major headliners. I remember a time when there was no way in hell that you could see Metallica and Coldplay on the same bill. While I find it truly an odd pairing, I commend the masses for showing that when it comes to taste (or lack thereof), we are more inclusive than ever.
There’s plenty of peoples out there on the InterWeb who will be interested in this festival for the headliners, but here at the Indie-Verse, we pride ourselves on venturing off that beaten path. It can be a little more hit and miss, but the gems you find along the way will more than make up for that.
Here’s the 2hr playlist, have a superfantastic 4th of July and I’ll catch you all next week.
