MARQUEE 20 - 6/5/09

Posted on 05 June 2009 by Nick

This week is yet again, wonderful. We’ve had excellent bands rolling into town for the last two weeks straight and it is not going to stop anytime soon.
I want to say before I go on that Les Claypool, whom I love is coming into the Palladium on the 7th but that goofball Matisyahu is on the gig and to be honest, I couldn’t do it.
Sorry Matisyahu fans but every else knows why I WON’T play that guy on my show.
He’s terrible. That’s why.
On to real music.
I’m so excited about the Mika Miko/Strange Boys gig that I put Mika Miko on 2 weeks in a row.
Coincidence? Nope, not at all.
Also, next week Holy F*ck is coming in with Crocodiles and I’m stoked. I saw Holy F*ck a few years ago and its great, really great. They have a lot of equipment (and not that I’m Joe Equipment over here) but a lot of it was stuff I wasn’t familiar with, which is always a good sign. Ray guns, Hulk Fists, weird analog tape things and greatness. You should go. Oh, and Crocodiles are gonna be there. CROCODILLLLLES!
Call the babysitter, its concert time.

Also, don’t forget to make fun of anyone you know that goes to see the Les Claypool/Matisyahu gig only for Matisyahu.
What’s Yiddish for the worst?
